History of College

K.L.E. Society’s S. K. Arts College was started in the year 1952 with the munificent donation from His Holiness Shriman Maharaja Niranjan Jagadguru Shri Gurusiddha Rajayogendra Mahaswamiji of Moorsaviramath, Hubballi. The Science wing, H. S. Kotambri Science Institute, made a beginning in the year 1966 with the generous donation from Dr.Tammappannna Kousali. The college with a sprawling area of 6 acres and 12 guntas, situated in the heart of the city is imparting Arts and Science education to the needy students especially from the rural sectors. Further with a view to provide Post Graduation education, the college has started P.G. Course, M.Sc. in Mathematics in the year 2009-10. The qualified and experienced faculty is actively involved in teaching & research activities.
